Sales/Recruiting Specialist
Under limited supervision, develops and builds a strong relationship with potential producers and enhances relationships with existing producers through a high-touch, added value approach, analyzing the producer’s needs and goals, working collaboratively with other areas of AMS to meet those needs via our products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- • In accordance with documented AMS goals, recruits new financial professionals to AMS.
- • Contacts prospective producers through targeted calling campaigns as directed by Director, Recruiting, and VP of National Sales.
- • Makes follow-up phone calls to new producer “leads” as provided by AMS strategic recruiting partners.
- • Profiles producer, builds initial relationship, and follows up with additional calls as appropriate. Schedules calls with new prospects for purposes of full engagement.
- • Provides input and strategy for developing productive ways in seeking producer referrals.
- • Keeps detailed notes of contacts to update management in system.
- • Keeps focus on following areas/business lines for new recruits:
- o Annuity producer
- o Life producer
- o LTC producer
- • Documents all contact with prospective producer in SalesLogix (CRM) and elsewhere as directed by supervisor; updates profile where appropriate.
- • When needed, involves other AMS staff/subject matter experts on matters requiring specialized consultation to join AMS.
Qualifications:
- • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; or equivalent education/experience
- • Five (5) years’ experience in recruiting, sales, and/or customer service within the insurance industry
- • Excellent communication skills, to include strong oral presentation skills
- • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with AMS producers
- • Creative problem solving ability
- • Proven ability to set and meet deadlines
- • Proven ability to prioritize, measure and monitor activity
