Junior Life & LTC Case Management Specialist

 

Under general supervision, responsible for quality control for new life business case management operations. This includes, but is not limited to, accessing case management software system, developing processes and procedures for in-house life case management and monitoring industry standards in a proactive and ongoing manner in order to maintain effective quality control of life case management. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Case Management:
o    Track and input newly submitted life applications into case management software.
o    Review all applications for completeness by performing quality control procedures.
o    Order all necessary case requirements from carriers, vendors, and producers.
o    Monitor case progress with both producers and carriers, and update software accordingly.
o    Maintain detailed case progress in software and communicate all case updates to producers.
o    Run term illustrations and have knowledge of ordering permanent illustrations from product specialists.
o    Process electronic applications.
o    Perform impaired risk inquiries to obtain tentative offers.
Phone Communication:
o    Field incoming calls requesting case updates.
o    Provide forms, documents and website support for producers.
o    Provide impaired risk procedures and tentative offers to producers.
Education:
o    Provide training to AMS staff on basic life operations.
o    Provide ongoing training to producers and/or their staff on life new business, processing and website features.
o    Assist producers with electronic applications, including training and troubleshooting.
Procedure/Documentation/Manual Maintenance:
o    Designs procedural documentation to assist with various case management efforts.
o    Keeps manuals and other reference documentation updated.
o    Performs investigational work and drafts procedures for various life projects.
 
Qualifications:
·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
·         A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the life insurance industry.
·         Life and Health License preferred.
·         Ability to collaborate effectively and productively in a team environment.
·         Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships over the phone.
·         Strong problem solving, project management and organizational skills.
·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
·         Prior use of Case Management Software, preferably I-Pipeline (Agency Integrator)
