Due Diligence Manager
Madison Avenue Securities, a subsidiary of Asset Marketing Systems, is seeking applicants for their Due Diligence Manager. This exempt position is located at our headquarters in San Diego, California, and reports to the Chief Operating Officer. The following represents a brief description of the position and the qualifications required for applicants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- • Oversee Due Diligence process for all investment products
- • Manage retail fund platform, ensuring depth and breadth of product and appropriate processes for fund additions/deletions
- • Negotiate and manage relationships with all product sponsors. Structure competitively superior financial terms; renegotiate as needed to improve profitability
- • Manage investment product development process. Identify, select, manage vendor relationships
- • Direct all elements related to launch and/or modification of existing investment products, including marketing information/positioning, training, etc.
- • Direct positioning of investment products
- • Contribute to continuous strengthening of investment value delivered
- • Create, as needed, review and approve necessary policies and procedures for the offering, supervision and general management of product
- • Responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations for suitability, product limitations, etc
- • Relationship and contract management with product sponsors
- • Responsible for advisor/client experience
- • Ongoing training of field force concerning all products
- • Product promotion and sales development with producers, especially expanding products being utilized by individual representatives
- • Partner with MAS Compliance Department on key initiatives
Qualifications:
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- • Series 7 & 24 required or able to acquire S24 within 60 days of start date
- • Industry related designations (CAIA or CFA preferred); financial services experience, preferably in product development/management in a broker-dealer environment
- • Well versed on all laws and regulations on broker-dealer responsibilities with regard to product
- • Thorough understanding of various products including features, benefits, pricing, client fees, advisor compensation and distribution revenue from companies
- • Ability to assess the competitive landscape and contrast/compare products
- • Thorough understanding of, and the ability to assess, back office and operations
- • Experience in product contract negotiations and product due diligence
- • Ability to travel when/if necessary
- • Previous training or sales management experience preferred
