Brian, President and Founder of Akers Financial Group, Inc., has been in the financial services industry for over 23 years. His sound, conservative guidance and tax-saving strategies have helped numerous clients to build, protect, and preserve their financial assets. As a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner since July 1991, Brian has lectured throughout Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania, co-hosted radio shows, and appeared as a guest expert on Fox 45 and WUSA Channel 9 News. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Virginia Tech, holds licenses for life, health, and property and casualty insurance, and is a FINRA General Securities Representative. Brian serves as a Trustee of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminar in Wake Forest, North Carolina, a Harford Christian Educational Foundation board member, a Deacon and Trustee at North Harford Baptist Church; and enjoys coaching high school, AAU, and recreation basketball teams. Brian and his high school sweetheart, Jeanne, have been married for 20 years and have two children, Chloe and Noah.
